Dear
One, you look glorious sitting in the garden in the sun! Glorious,
glorious, glorious! So, let us speak of glory as the sun pours
down its delicious warmth and your dog sits by.
What
is glory? Very simple. Open heart to the beauty of the moment
and to creation. When we sing songs of God's glory, we praise
ourselves and our conscious presence as a reflection of divinity.
You see, Dear One, when one remembers the safety and enduring
presence of inner divinity, then you have, as you say, grabbed
the golden ring. And this is not just words.Inner
Divinity. Words are meaningless without deeper knowing and wisdom
of truth. You are Divine. You are God. You are safe. Nothing can
truly hurt you. Ghandi knew this. And by bringing up Ghandi, I
am not talking about pacifism, which I sense is where your mind
takes you. Ghandi was so much more than a pacifist. He saw himself
as an instrument of God, for he understood his own divinity. No
one can truly and fully align with pacifism without feeling utterly
safe and united with the Divine, and know that each step taken
in God is safe. Then we step outside hate, war and violence. Then
peace is truly within just as now war lives within most humans.
As war lived in you for so long. And now you experience inner
calm, you open to divinity and union and Oneness.
You see, all the words and all the philosophies and all the wisdom
that is available is meaningless unless the experience of peace
within is sustainable. Which is not to say there are no ups and
downs in life. Yes, surely there are. But these will no longer
create war inside human beings. For the grace of God, the wholeness,
the glory of life sustains the container for the spirit and that
container is the body, which flourishes and heals through peace
and love of self and other. All of which leads you to know that
within peace there is war just as within war there is peace. Within
love there is hate. Within hate there is love. And fear cannot
hold sway without judgment.
All
things from the human perspective are relative except the glory
of the Divine that holds all -- all in unity and without
condemnation. Oh, I sense the churning of that mind of yours,
Dear One, making sense, losing sense... Stop thinking! Be with
the paradox. Mind cannot embrace paradox. Only soul embraces paradox,
divinity and the spirit of God, which is you. So smile as I smile
at your mind's frustration and need for making sense. And so,
all right, enough. And now to begin your day. Sit here in the
sun a while and be with the glory of God. |
